There’s something about Perugia in the summertime that feels utterly magical. Nestled in the rolling hills of Umbria, this medieval Italian city is full of charm, history, and golden light that lingers long into the evening. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, soak up the moment, and fall in love with life all over again. For Olivia and Grant, it was the perfect setting to bring together their favourite people from across the world for two days of love, art, laughter, and celebration.

This summer, we had the absolute joy of photographing Olivia + Grant’s wedding in this breathtaking part of Italy.

It was scorchingly hot, but the atmosphere was even warmer — filled with incredible people, endless colour, and the kind of energy that made the whole weekend unforgettable.

From the moment we arrived, we knew this was going to be something special. Olivia and Grant had gathered the coolest crowd — such a stylish, eclectic group of friends and family who had travelled from all over the world to celebrate with them. Everywhere we looked there was beauty, laughter, and effortless joy.
Olivia’s love of art was woven into every detail. Having grown up visiting galleries with her family each summer, it was clear how much creativity and influence had shaped the day. From the styling to the atmosphere, everything had that artistic touch.

The celebration also carried a deeply spiritual tone. Olivia and Grant were so present and aware of their surroundings, and it shone through in every moment. Olivia herself radiated confidence and self-love, something that came through beautifully in her vows. One of the most moving parts of the ceremony was their wedding rings being passed around the guests, each person offering their own silent blessing or good energy before they were exchanged — such a powerful way of weaving everyone into their story.

And then came the entertainment — quirky, fun, and completely unexpected! Drag queens and singalongs had everyone joining in, and the atmosphere was alive with joy. With all their favourite people gathered — best friends from university, childhood, hometowns, and workplaces — the energy was electric.

THEIR HIGHLIGHTS

The setting itself was magic. With a stunning swimming pool glistening under the Italian sun, the whole place just oozed coolness. As night fell, fireworks lit up the sky, and of course, a few people couldn’t resist ending the celebration by diving straight into the pool.

We captured it all on analogue film, digital photography, and video — and it truly felt like one of the coolest weddings we’ve ever documented. A celebration overflowing with art, love, spirituality, and the kind of “good feels” that will stay with everyone there forever.
