01. Decide on a Photography Style

When deciding on a photographer, you must decide between Fine Art, Traditional or Photojournalistic/documentary.

Remember your wedding day will have a variety of facets. From getting ready to the ceremony, confetti and then family and couple shots till late in the evening.

Also, consider editing styles. If a photographer offers photos in a dark and moody way, then don't ask them to edit like another photographer. Rather find a photographer who offers light and airy editing with that same style.

02. Set a Photography Budget

It might be tempting to save on your wedding photos and video. However, it is best to set a wedding budget that allows you to hire a quality photographer and videographer that will document your important day.

The average spend on wedding photography and videography should be around 15% of your wedding budget.

Some studios offer discounted rates when booking photo and video packages together.

Also, be on the lookout for winter and weekday promotions if you're budget conscious
